Inter-State Job Racket Busted In Odisha, 9 Arrested

Angul: Nine persons of an inter-state job racket have been arrested here for allegedly duping over 1,000 students.

According to sources, the fraudsters reportedly posed as officials of Tata Group and duped several youths on the promise of getting them employed with the company.

“These conmen held a fake recruitment process at Nettur Technical Training Foundation, Jamshedpur, and took money from students, in lieu of providing them jobs,” said Angul SP Jagmohan Meena.

An FIR was registered at Colliery Police Station here following which the accused were arrested. Police have also seized 28 bank accounts, Rs 10.5 lakh in cash and gold ornaments weighing about 757.1 gram worth Rs 1.33 crore from a bank account in Durgapur (West Bengal).

Efforts are on track down others connected with the inter-state fraud.
