Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika To Clash With Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 At Box Office

New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut’s much-awaited movie ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ has finally been assigned a release date. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, on Saturday, announced the film will hit theatres on January 25, 2019.

The date was booked after Rajnikanth decided on November 29 this year for 2.0 release and the Manikarnika team wished to avoid a box office collision with it.

However, the movie will clash at the box office with Kangana’s rumoured boyfriend Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30, which has already been rescheduled once. The movie was earlier slated for November release. Taran Adarsh tweeted the details for the movie saying the it will release on January 25, 2019.

Both the movies are biopics. While Kangana’s Manikarnika is based on Queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmi Bai, who is revered as one of the first freedom fighters, Hrithik Roshan plays the role of Patna-based mathematician Anand Kumar who trains a batch of 30 IIT aspirants every year.

Earlier this year, it was speculated that Super 30 will clash with 2.0 when Manikarnika producer Kamal Jain told the media that their primary aim was to avoid clash with 2.0. “Movies like Rani Laxmibai are a one-time creation; we can’t afford to go wrong with it. So, rushing with dates is not a good idea,” he said.

Kangana and Hrithik had hogged headlines last year for their public feud. While Kangana alleged an affair, Hrithik denied anything more than friendship and accused her of fabricating a romantic relationship. They have co-starred in movies like Kites and Krrish 3.
