Four Districts Turn COVID-Free As Odisha Logs Less Than 20 New Cases
Bhubaneswar: A day after reporting an almost 86% drop in new infections, the daily caseload rose to 15 on Tuesday, which includes 2 persons in the 0-18 age group.
The state had seen 5 cases the previous day.
According to the I & PR Department, 9 fresh cases are from quarantine and 6 local contacts.
Here are the district-wise figures of the new cases:
- Kendrapada: 1
- Khurda: 9
- Mayurbhanj: 1
- Nuapada: 1
- Sundargarh: 1
Besides, 2 cases are from the state pool.
With 16,859 samples tested in the last 24 hours, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.08 per cent.
Odisha now has 261 active cases. Four districts – Keonjhar, Koraput, Nayagarh and Kalahandi – are no free from coronavirus will nil active cases. Puri with one active case and Nupada, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Dhenkanal, and Jagatsinghpur with 2 cases each might soon get rid of the infection.
