Balasore: Three persons, including a senior lawyer, were killed while two more were critically injured in three separate accidents in Balasore.
The lawyer was identified as Panchanan Parida. According to reports, he was on a morning walk when he was hit by a vehicle. The person behind the wheel was reportedly learning to drive.
In a separate accident, two persons died while another was critically injured when their motorcycle hit a road divider near Bhimpur. The three were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared two of them dead on arrival.
In another accident at Balasore station chhak, a journalist, identified as Ubachaka Mohanty, was seriously injured when he was hit by an unknown vehicle. He was rushed to a hospital in Balasore, from where he was later shifted to Bhubaneswar.
