Hyderabad: Celebrity fashion designer Prathyusha Garimella was found dead in the bathroom of her apartment at Banjara Hills here on Saturday.
Police found a bottle of carbon monoxide in her room, which she is suspected to have inhaled.
A case of suspicious death has been lodged by police, who have informed her family and friends.
An investigation is underway as her body has been shifted to Osmania Hospital for autopsy.
The 36-year-old Prathyusha may have been suffering from depression, India Today reported.
The Hyderabad-based self-made designer used to work in the Telugu film industry.
Prathyusha, who studied fashion designing in the US, started a label under her name in 2013 and there was no looking back for her thereafter.
She worked with a number of celebrities in Tollywood and Bollywood as well.
The list of popular artistes she was involved with include Jacqueline Fernandes, Parineeti Chopra, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol Devgan, Vidya Balan, Raveena Tandon, Neha Dhupia, Shruti Haasan, Huma Qureshi, Rakul Preet Singh, Nushrat Bharucha, Juhi Chawla and Bhumi Pednekar.
