Mumbai: After playing Udham Singh in ‘Sardar Udham’ with elan, Vicky Kaushal is now set to essay the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in his next film ‘Sam Bahadur’.
Vicky is known to prepare very meticulously, and it’s no different this time.
As part of his preparation, Vicky recently met the former Army chief’s grandson Jehan. He took to Instagram to share a picture with Jehan.
“Enjoying the insightful sessions with @jehanmanekshaw,” Vicky wrote alongside the picture.
He also posted a glimpse of what looks to be the film’s script. “Here we go… Prep starts!!! #SAMBAHADUR,” read his post.

Meghna Gulzar-directed ‘Sam Bahadur’ is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, one of India’s greatest war heroes, who was Chief of Army Staff in 1971 when India fought the Bangladesh Liberation War with Pakistan.
The film, produced by Ronnie Screwvala, will feature Sanya Malhotra as Manekshwa’s wife and Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
