Kendrapara: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has detained gangster Syed Uman Ali alias Tito’s associate Saroj Pati for interrogation.
A team of the STF picked up Pati from his house in Kendrapara district late on Wednesday for questioning him in connection with his links with the gangster, his criminal activities and other affairs.
The STF had on August 11 arrested an associate of Tito from Krishnanandapur village under Tirtol police limits in Jagatsinghpur district.
The accused has been identified as Shaikh Shakir Ali. He is being interrogated to ascertain his links with criminal activities of the gangster.
The STF had on July 30 arrested two other more associates of Tito identified as Alok Mallick and Deepak Swain.
Both were picked up by a team of the STF from Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district.
According to sources, the two had attended a meeting with the gangster at Goa to plot some criminal activities.
Apart from these persons, more than 14 persons have already been arrested for their alleged links with Tito.
