Akash Dasnayak Spends Day With Visually Impaired Children Ahead Of Diwali In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: Actor-turned-politician and chairperson of ‘Mo College Abhijan’ Akash Dasnayak spent the day with 70 visually impaired children and cheered them at a unique programme organised in Odisha capital ahead of Diwali festival.

The day-long cultural programme was organised by UDRA Charitable Trust at a restaurant in a shopping mall in Bhubaneswar where the visually impaired girls and boys were taken in a special bus on Wednesday.

Dasnayak, who is also Advisor of the charitable trust, said the programme aimed at bringing smile in the face of the differently abled children. “Happiness always increases when it is shared,” he said.

Various such programmes are organised by the trust during different festivals in an effort to bring happiness among children, who are neglected and away from the social mainstream, Dasnayak said.

A host of Odia film personalities including Samaresh Routray, Bulu Das, Debasis Patra and Munam Mishra took part in the event where the children were enthralled by music and cultural presentations.
