Night Temperature Drops To 15°C & Below At 14 Places In Odisha; Dense Fog In Cuttack
Bhubaneswar: Amid the prevailing coldwave conditions, the mercury plummeted to 15 degree Celsius and below at 14 places in Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Wednesday.
Similiguda in Koraput continued to remain the coldest at 9.1 degree Celsius followed by Kirei in Sundargarh (10.5 degree Celsius), G Udayagiri (11 degree Celsius), and Koraput and Nabarangpur each at 11.5 degree Celsius.
Likewise, Sundargarh recorded 12.5 degree Celsius, while the night temperatures dipped to 13 degree Celsius at Daringbadi and Phulbani, 13.8 degree Celsius in Bhawanipatna, 14.4 degree Celsius in Keonjhar and 14.8 Deogarh degree Celsius. The mercury hovered around 15 degree Celsius at two places – Bargarh and Malkangiri.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 19.4 degree Celsius and 18.5 degree Celsius respectively.

According to the IMD, there will be no large change in the minimum temperature during the next four to five days.
The MeT office also informed about dense fog engulfing Cuttack. Shallow to moderate fog was seen at Angul and Bhawanipatna, it added.
