Rashid emphasized on how sports and games are an integral part of learning and play a vital role in the success of a student.

An athletics meet set the mood day for celebrations to follow.

Several track and field events — 110m hurdles, 110m boys’ and girls’ races, boys’ and girls’ relay races, 400m for boys and girls – were conducted at the sports stadium. Aerobics and yoga drills were also demonstrated at the sports meet.

SIRS founders day

Remembering Founder-Chairman Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, SIRS Headmaster Amitabh Agnihotri said: “Such activities foster a sense of confidence, creativity, communication and collaboration skills essential for the 21st century. By encouraging the children to participate in activities outside of the classroom, we as a school are giving them a route to develop new interests, and deepen their social and intellectual growth, which are the pillars of the society. It is our extreme duty to nurture children academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially.”

SAI International Chairperson Dr Silpi Sahoo said it’s a grooming ground for future leaders.

“We enable the children to bring out their best talent. Our Founder Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo has shown the way to 360-degree holistic development of children and we are walking on his laid path. Our students have excelled in all fields be it academics or sports. Children of SAI International are known for their academic excellence and ethical values and I wish them all the best for their future,” she stated.
