KIIT’s ‘Konvergence’ In Bhubaneswar Showcases Richness of India’s Cultural Heritage
Bhubaneswar: As many as 25 dance troupes from across the country showcased their performance at cultural festival ‘Konvergence’ in Bhubaneswar.
The artists from different states converged at the ‘Konvergence’, which is organised to commemorate the silver jubilee celebration of KIIT Deemed-to-be-University in the city.
The festival saw the dancers from 25 states performing different dance forms to celebrate unity in diversity and showcase the rich cultural heritage of India. ‘Konvergence’ is the vision of the founder of KIIT and KISS Achyuta Samanta.
The classical dance performances included Odissi, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipadi, and Mohiniyattam, while the traditional folk dance included Chau, Jhumar, Bihu, Bhangda and others.
The dance troupes from 25 states performed at the KIIT cricket stadium, showcasing the richness of the classical dance forms.
The ‘Silver Karnival’ is organised in the last leg of the three-month silver jubilee celebration of the KIIT.
