KISS Students Achieve 100% Results In Class X Board Exams; Highest Score 92.17%
Bhubaneswar: Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has posted a hundred per cent result in Class X examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, the result of which was declared on Thursday.
The overall pass percentage in the state stood at 96.40 per cent.
A total of 1880 students from KISS appeared for the exam this year, the highest for any school in the state. Among them, 45 per cent students secured first division and 50 per cent students secured second division marks. The overall pass percentage stood at 100 per cent.
Makara Murmu from Mayurbhanj (Santal) topped the school with 92.17 per cent (553 marks), while Digij Tudu from Jharkhand (Santal) and Dinesh Hembram from Mayurbhanj (Santal) scored 90.33 per cent (542) each. Similarly, Namita Oram from Sundargarh (Oraon) and Rasmita Swansi from Kendujhar (Santal) scored 90 per cent marks (540) each.
KISS is a residential school offering free education and boarding facilities to tribal children. For over 21 years, the school has achieved almost 100 per cent results in the board exams.
KIIT & KISS founder Achyuta Samanta attributed the success to sustained effort of teachers, staff, and the dedication of students of KISS.
