Odisha Govt To Sign MoUs With Infosys & Nasscom Today
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will be signing memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Infosys and National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) on Tuesday.
The agreements are aimed at upskilling undergraduate and postgraduate students by providing digital skill training and thereby, making them job-ready.
Infosys will spend its funds under corporate social responsibility (CSR) for providing digital courses through Infosys Springboard, an online learning platform. Nasscom, a non-governmental trade association and advocacy group, will also provide training to the youths online for free. “Infosys and Nasscom will provide access to their online portals to the students for enrolment in digital courses. It will improve the employability of the students,” Higher Education Secretary Bishnupada Sethi told TOI.
Last month, the government had roped in Coursera, a California-based education technology company, to teach and provide training on new age courses to girl students of the state.
