2,895 Agniveers Pass Out Of INS Chilika In Odisha
Berhampur: Vice Admiral MA Hampiholi, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, reviewed the passing out parade of the second batch of Agniveers at INS Chilika in Odisha on Tuesday.
Total 2895 Agniveers, including 448 women, passed out from the portals of INS Chilika. Parents and family members of the successful Agniveers attended the event.
The parade marked the culmination of 16 weeks of rigorous training and beginning of a new voyage in the Indian Navy towards a combat ready, credible, cohesive and future-proof force.
Vice Admiral Hampiholi complimented the Agniveers for the immaculate and synergised movements during the parade indicating high standards of training and discipline. He urged them to build upon the Navy’s core values of duty, honour and courage.
He awarded medals and trophies to meritorious trainees on the occasion. The overall Championship Trophy was awarded to Shivaji Division. The winter edition of bilingual magazine ‘Ankur’ was also released.
