[Watch] Maharashtra Minister Orders Cops To ‘Break Bones’ Of Unruly People
Mumbai: Politicians in India never cease to amaze.
In the latest instance of appalling behaviour by elected public servants,
Maharashtra Minority Development minister Abdul Sattar ordered the police to ‘break bones’ and forcefully disperse unruly crowd at a dance show organised on the occasion of his birthday in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.
The incident took place in Sillod town during a performance by dancer Gautami Patil on Wednesday night.
A video circulating on social media shows Sattar issuing instructions to police from the stage, using a microphone. The police mildly lathi-charged a section of the crowd.
There was a large crowd to watch Gautami, who is known for her Lavani dance performances.
Noticing a chaotic situation among the viewers, Sattar initially urged them to sit down. He then directed police to resort to lathicharge.
“Those indulging in drama, beat them like dogs.. Baton-charge the people at the back.. Beat them so much that their bones are broken,” he is heard saying.
He asked one of the viewers, “Has your father seen such a programme? Are you a demon? You are the son of a human being, so behave like one and watch the programme. Sit down and enjoy the show.”
AbdulSattar pic.twitter.com/zIUKYXiihF

A member of Shiv Sena faction led by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Sattar is the MLA from Sillod.
The Opposition attacked Sattar for his choice of language.
“The kind of language that Sattar used shows his culture and this has also been accepted by the Shinde faction and the BJP that are ruling the state,” said leader of Opposition Ambadas Danve, who is from Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT).
