Railway Minister To Flag Off New MEMU Train In Odisha’s Balasore Tomorrow
Bhubaneswar: As a New Year gift to the people of Odisha’s Balasore, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will flag off a new MEMU train and launch other services on Saturday.
The Minister will flag off Gopinathpur Nilgiri-Balasore MEMU train service, dedicate the Balasore-Gopinathpur Nilgiri passenger line and lay foundation stone for subway and inaugurate PRS booking counter at Betanoti railway station on the day.
With the inauguration of new passenger line between Gopinathpur Nilgiri and Balasore, the people of the area will be able to avail passenger train services for first time. Three pairs of MEMU trains will run over this route daily.
Similarly, the new PRS counter at Betanoti will be beneficial for the passengers for booking reserved tickets.
As a part of providing more passenger amenities and safety, a subway will be constructed at Betanoti station. It will ensure smooth entry and exit of passengers to the station and the local residents will be able to commute through the subway without crossing the railway track.
