Balasore: One person died and four were injured when the pick-up van in which they were travelling collided with a truck on NH-16 at Dandakali under Khantapada police limits in Balasore district on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Sushant Das. Locals rescued the injured and admitted them to a nearby hospital.
Locals attributed the accident to recklessness of the truck driver.
Police have started investigation and efforts are on to nab the truck driver, who fled the spot soon after the incident.
