According to Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), which is conducting the exams, tests at 15 to 20 exam centres will be streamed online for better monitoring. The School and Mass Education Department has also formed squads at district, zonal and CHSE levels to check malpractices and ensure the exams are held without any hiccups. Permanent squads have been deployed in Angul, Keonjhar and Koraput for the entire period of the exam to ensure quick movement to centres in inaccessible pockets of the district, CHSE examination controller Ashok Nayak told the media.

On Thursday, CHSE also issued an advisory, asking students to reach their respective centres at least half an hour before commencement of the exams. It also reminded them that only admit cards and black ballpoint pen will be allowed inside the examination centre.

The examinations will be held in only one shift from 10 am to 1 pm under CCTV surveillance.

As many as 2,37,750 students are expected to appear for Arts, 1,16,620 for Science and 26,089 for Commerce. While the exams of Science stream will kick off with the Odia paper on February 16, Arts and Commerce streams will start with Odia paper on February 17. For Vocational Education stream, the exams will begin with English paper on February 19.
