Puri: Police on Wednesday recovered the bruised body of a missing youth from near Gundalba on Astaranga beach here.
The deceased identified as Radhu Swain hailed from Puri’s Ainsinia village.

According to sources, the deceased had left home on Tuesday afternoon. His family members began a frantic search when he did not return home till late at night.
On Wednesday morning, locals spotted a youth’s body on the beach and informed the police.
Police sent the body for postmortem and began investigation.
Though the cause of death is yet to be ascertained, locals told media that the body had bruises and injury marks indicating it could be a murder.
