Bhubaneswar: Star weightlifter from Odisha, Mukesh Gamango won the silver medal at Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWLF) National Weightlifting Championship 2024-25 on Tuesday.
Gamango secured silver by lifting a total of 204 Kg in the Boys’ 55 Kg Youth category at the National championship being held at Nagrota Bhawan in Himachal Pradesh.

Similarly, Odisha’s Preetismita Bhoi from Odisha Weightlifting HPC-Dhenkanal Sub Centre won Silver in 45 Kg youth and Bronze in junior category at the IWLF National Weightlifting Championship.
On Monday, Odisha lifters Harsabardhan Sahu and Jyoshna Sabar won gold medals in youth competitions on inaugural day of the National youth, junior and senior weightlifting championships.
