Cyclone Dana: Two Places In Odisha Receive Over 100 MM Rainfall

Bhubaneswar: Two places in Odisha have received more than 100 mm rainfall due to Cyclone ‘Dana’.

According to the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), in a rainfall update issued at 5.30pm on Friday, said six places in the state received high rainfall on the impact of cyclone Dana.

Jajpur led to table as it received highest 110 mm rainfall. It was followed by Chandbali in Bhadrak district with 106.7 mm rainfall. Jajpur, Bhadrak and Chandbali experienced wind of high speed accompanied by heavy rainfall in the morning.

At Chandbali, the wind speed was 80 kmph. Between 8.30 am and 10.30 am, it had recorded 59 mm rainfall.

The other places that received high rainfall included Bhadrak with 98 mm, Balasore 68.8, Baripada 40.4 and Kendrapada 20.2 mm, the IMD said in the bulletin.
