Taapsee Pannu Wants To Work With Big Heroes For This Reason
Mumbai: Actress Taapsee Pannu, who has shared screen space with very few A-listers, has now expressed her desire to work with big heroes.
In an interview with Aaj Tak, the actress shared that people think she doesn’t like working with big heroes, but that is not true. In reality, she likes working with A-listers as in such projects the pressure of the film’s success doesn’t lie entirely on her.
“My managers often tell me that people don’t come to me with films featuring big heroes. They think ki ye toh karegi nahi. But, it’s not the same. When I do a film with a big hero, the pressure on making the film work is not on me,” said Taapsee.
Citing Shah Rukh-starrer ‘Dunki’ as an example, the actress said, “Like in Dunki, it was Hirani and SRK, and I was relaxing. I want to do such films, with substantial roles, of course, but without any pressure. I want to do good roles, meaty characters, and it doesn’t matter if it’s opposite a big hero.”
Co-written by Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon, and co-produced by Shah Rukh and wife Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Rajkumar Hirani Films, and Jio Studios, ‘Dunki’ was released in cinemas last year.
The film earned Rs 470.6 crore worldwide.
After her remarkable performance in Shivam Nair’s 2017 spy thriller ‘Naam Shabana’, Taapsee has played the solo lead in films like ‘Mulk’, ‘Manmarziyaan’, ‘Badla’, ‘Game Over’, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, ‘Haseen Dillruba’, ‘Rashmi Rocket’, ‘Loop Lapeta’, ‘Shabash Mithu’, ‘Dobaara’, ‘Blurr’, and ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba’.
Taapsee will next be seen in ‘Wo Ladki Hai Kahaan?’
