Bhubaneswar: Khandagiri Sub-Registrar Biswajit Pradhan has been suspended for for alleged irregularities in duty.
According to the office order issued by Revenue and Disaster Management Department, the Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) officer has been placed under suspension with immediate effect since a disciplinary proceeding against him is being contemplated.
The headquarters of Pradhan has been fixed at the Khurda Collectorate during the suspension period. He has been also directed not to leave the headquarters without prior permission of the Khurda Collector.
He will receive the payment of subsistence allowance in accordance with Rule-90 of the Odisha Service Code, it added.
Sources said Pradhan was allegedly involved in illegal part-plot registrations.
In December last year, a junior clerk from the Khandagiri sub-registrar office was arrested on graft charge.
