Mumbai: Actor Janhvi Kapoor is ‘enraged’ at the horrific Vadodara road accident. The actor took to social media to vent her rage and express her shock at what happened.
A woman was killed and four others had sustained injuries after a speeding car driven by a 20-year-old law student crashed into their two-wheelers.
Janhvi re-shared a video about the accident on Instagram. She wrote, “This is appalling and enraging. sick to my stomach about anyone thinking this kind of behavior is something they can get away with. Intoxicated or not.”
Black box of car to be examined
Police will analyse details from the incident data recorder, also known as ‘black box’, of the Volkswagen Virtus car that the law student, Rakshit Chaurasiya, crashed into several people and two-wheelers in Vadodara’s Karelibaug area on Thursday, reported Indian Express.
Vadodara Commissioner of Police Narasimha Komar on Saturday said that accused driver from MS University, is the son of a Vadodara-based sanitary hardware trader from Varanasi. His co-passenger Praanshu Chauhan is a Vadodara resident and the car belonged to his father.
A video from the crash site had gone viral. It shows the heavily drunk driver coming out of the car following the accident and shouting “another round” even as bystanders tried to get hold of him. While all these happened, those injured lay scattered on the ground.
