Bhubaneswar: Job aspirants who appeared for the Sub-Divisional Information and Public Relations Officer (SDIPRO) OIS examination conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) claimed that there were errors in the question papers.
The candidates who wrote the exam held on March 29 and 30 claimed that there were discrepancies in the total marks in one section of the questions.
There were reports of discrepancies in journalism and mass communication section, where the paper appeared to allocate only 94 marks for questions meant to total 100 marks. Instead of the expected 100 marks, the section provided questions carrying only 94 marks, candidates claimed.
Voicing concern over the missing marks, many candidates said it could have a negative impact on their final scores in the exam. The candidates expressed fears that the missing 6 marks could adversely affect their overall ranking in the exam.
Some students reportedly tried to contact the authorities concerned for rectification measures as they were worried about the final results.
This examination holds significant weight in determining professional opportunities, making precision in its execution crucial. Candidates are hopeful for a swift resolution to the issue to ensure fairness in evaluation.
