Mumbai: After facing backlash for arriving 3 hours late, singer Neha Kakkar finally opened up about the harrowing experience she had to face in Melbourne before her concert.
In her carousel post on Instagram, Neha shared that the Melbourne concert organisers ran away with the money, leaving her team without any accommodation or food.
The singer further shared that she performed for free for her Melbourne fans.
Neha’s Instagram post read as, “They said she came 3 hours late, did they even ask once what happened to her? What did they do to her or her brand? When I spoke on stage, I did not even tell anyone what happened because I did not want anyone to get harmed, because who am I to punish anyone? But now that it has come on my name, I had to speak up.”
She continued, “Do you know I performed for absolutely free for my Melbourne audience? The sponsors ran away with my money and other’s money too. My band was not even given food, hotel, or even water. My husband and his boys went and provided them with food. Inspite of all this, we still went on stage and did the show without any rest because my fans were waiting for me, for hours.”
“The organisers stopped picking up my manager’s calls because they were running away from the sponsors and everyone,” she revealed.
She concluded her post by thanking those who were kind to her and danced their heart out when she performed that day.

For the unversed, Neha arrived three hours late for her concert in Melbourne and broke down on the stage while apologising to the audience.
While a section of the audience tried to cheer her up by clapping for her, others, who were not happy with the singer’s late arrival, yelled at her and asked her to leave.
In the viral video clip from the Melbourne concert, Neha can be heard saying, “Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai. Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho, I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. Aaj aap log mere liye itna kimti time nikaal kar aaye ho. I will make sure that I will make you all dance. (Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. You’ve been waiting for me for long. I hate it, I have never made anyone wait for so long. I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. You’ve taken out time for my concert. I will make sure that I will make you all dance. ”
The video also captured angry voices from the crowd.
Some shouted, “Go back! Rest in your hotel.”
One man said, “This is not India, you’re in Australia.”
