Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday inaugurated the newly-renovated DCP office in Bhubaneswar.
The four-storey building, constructed for Rs 7.8 crore, features advanced facilities and better public accessibility. It is equipped with facilities such as ramps for differently-abled individuals, a cyber cell, CCTNS room, integrated control room, a spacious public grievance cell, digital documentation centre, and improved waiting areas for visitors.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that this renovation represents the government’s commitment to modernising police infrastructure. He emphasised that the new facility would enable the police administration to provide efficient and timely services to the public. “The new building will help create a more welcoming environment for the public and enable our police force to work more efficiently,” he said.
The Chief Minister also handed over 425 two-wheelers to enhance the efficiency of investigating officers of various police stations under the Commissionerate Police.
He added that arrangements have also been made to provide more four-wheelers to police stations. He also assured that support would be provided for the use of technology in the investigation of criminal laws.
Commissioner of Police S Dev Datta Singh stated, “The new office space will significantly improve the operational capabilities of our personnel and help us better serve the community.” Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena highlighted that the new infrastructure would strengthen the implementation of people-friendly policing initiatives.
