Jajpur: A woman from New Delhi was allegedly harassed by two youths during her visit to a village in Dasarathpur area of Odisha’s Jajpur district.
As per information, the incident took place atTarangasagarpur village under the jurisdiction of Dasarathpur police station in the district on Sunday evening.
Following the incident, the woman has lodged a complaint of harassment at the police station.
Sources said the woman was on a visit to the area with a local female friend. The alleged incident occurred while they were returning from a visit to the famous Biraja temple.
In her complaint, the woman has accused two young men of misbehaving with her. Police have launched an investigation based on her complaint.
As per the complaint, the young woman from Delhi had visited his female friend’s house in Jajpur on the occasion of her father’s death anniversary on Saturday. They visited the temple with their brothers on Sunday.
Two miscreants misbehaved with them when they were returning from the temple. They even assaulted their brothers when they tried to prevent them. The victims lodged a complaint about the incident at the local police station on the same day.
Jajpur SDPO Prashant Kumar Majhi said efforts are on to nab the miscreants, who fled the area after the incident.
