Kolkata: Hasin Jahan, estranged wife of Team India pacer Mohammed Shami, has landed in a fresh controversy as an FIR has been lodged against her and their 10-year-old daughter Aaira based on a complaint by a neighbour.
The police complaint, lodged by Dalia Khatoon, includes serious charges like attempted murder, criminal conspiracy and assault.
The incident of assault was allegedly captured in a viral video circulating on social media.
The video shows Hasin, clad in a black T-shirt and jeans, engaging in a scuffle with her neighbour who tried to stop her from removing bricks.

According to media reports, the bone of contention is a piece of land in Suri town, in West Bengal’s Birbhum district.
Hasin had initiated construction work on a plot registered in her daughter Arshi’s name. Neighbour Dalia opposed the construction, claiming the land was disputed.
Dalia claimed that Hasin and her daughter attacked and attempted to kill her.
West Bengal Police confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. No arrests have been made so far.
Shami and Hasin are involved in a bitter court dispute, having separated since 2018.
Shami and his family were accused of torturing Hasin physically and psychologically. The Calcutta High Court recently ordered Shami to provide Hasin and daughter Aaira with maintenance expenses of Rs 4 lakh per month.
It remains to be seen how Shami responds to the situation, especially as his minor daughter, whom he loves dearly, is also involved.
On Thursday, Shami posted a heartfelt note for his daughter on the occasion of her 10th birthday, and shared several pictures.
“Darling, daughter, I still remember all the nights we spent staying up, talking, laughing and specifically your dance. Can’t believe you are growing up so fast. I wish only the best for you in life. May God bless you abundantly with love, peace, joy, and good health, today and always. Happy birthday,” Shami wrote on Instagram.
