Bhubaneswar: Over 91 per cent of the complaints received so far for Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s public grievance hearing have already been resolved successfully.
This was revealed when the Chief Minister conducted the 13th session of his public grievance hearing in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
The initiative being conducted as part of the state government’s commitment to a ‘People’s Government,’ continues to bring ministers and bureaucrats face-to-face with citizens’ concerns.
Among the attendees, differently-abled complainants were personally greeted by the CM, who accepted their petitions with empathy and assurance. As the hearing progressed, registered complainants presented issues spanning public service delivery, healthcare, and social welfare.
Of the 11,516 complaints received till the 12th session, a remarkable 91% (10,502) have been successfully resolved. The remainder are under active review.
Notably, the Single Window System emerged as a beacon of hope for patients with critical illnesses. Relief totalling Rs 55 lakh was distributed among 51 beneficiaries this year, including Rs 53 lakh offered just today. Senior medical teams were present on-site to facilitate immediate response to urgent health complaints.
The CM’s direct engagement and swift response impressed attendees, many of whom returned home with a sense of satisfaction. Citizens expressed admiration for the administration’s transparency, accountability, and human-centric approach.
Joining the CM were nine ministers. They were Revenue & Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Law & Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Housing & Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Higher Education & Odia Language Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, Panchayati Raj & Rural Development Minister Rabi Narayan Naik,Commerce & Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, Skill Development & Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain and MSME & Fisheries Minister Gokulananda Mallik
Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary Satyabrata Sahu and Principal Secretary to the CM Saswat Mishra, ensured structured coordination during the session.
