Bhubaneswar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a series of raids in connection with an alleged recruitment scam in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar.
As per information, search operations were carried out by teams of CBI sleuths at AIIMS Bhubaneswar and several other locations in the state. The operation was launched following allegations that some people have secured jobs at the premier institute in a fraudulent manner.
Searches were also carried out at a flat in Kalpana Square area of Bhubaneswar and another location in Jagatsinghpur district as part of the operation.
During the searches, officials of the central investigating agency reportedly seized a large volume of documents suspected to be linked to the case. These documents are being thoroughly scrutinised as part of the probe.
The investigation is in progress and CBI officials are gathering more information and evidence. Further details are awaited.
Senior officials of the AIIMS Bhubaneswar were not immediately available for comment on the operation by the central probe agency.
