New Delhi: A day after the Parliament passed the bill banning online money gaming platforms in India even as it endorsed e-sports and social online gaming, here are a list of apps that aren’t working now:

    • PokerBaazi: India’s Nazara Tech said on Friday its associate firm, Moonshine Technologies, which operates the platform has stopped offering online games played with money.
    • WinZO: “….In compliance with the new law, we are responsibly withdrawing impacted offerings w.e.f; 22nd August 2025; all service providers’ dues will be honoured; and all user balances will be safely refunded without any loss to a single user. To our team, investors, partners, and 250 million users – thank you for your trust and unqualified support. Together, we will continue to build, innovate, and showcase India’s talent on the global stage,” a post from WiZO on X reads.

India’s startup story and the online gaming industry stand at a defining juncture. The path ahead will shape government–industry collaboration, inspire young entrepreneurs, and reaffirm global confidence in Indian innovation.
