Mumbai: South actress Sai Pallavi, known for her desi girl image, sparked online buzz with her swimsuit pictures from her recent vacation.
Sai Pallavi’s sister Pooja Kannan took to her Instagram handle to share some candid pictures from their beach vacation.
Seeing the actress in a swimsuit, trolls targeted her for portraying the character of simple next-door girl on screen while having a contrasting personality off screen.
Sharing the pictures, Pooja wrote, “Beach high (waves emoji) #sunkissed (camera emoji) @saipallavi.senthamarai.”
Unhappy with Sai Pallavi’s pictures, one user wrote, “Hence proved she belongs to all so called heroine…keep aside of traditional wear.”
Another person commented, “Traditional ammai (Traditional girl).”
“So onscreen traditional Sai Pallavi wears a bikini in real life,” wrote another.
However, the actress’ fans quickly came forward to slam those who were questioning her choice of clothes.
One fan commented, “That’s Ms Pallavi’s wish, what she wants to wear. What do you expect to wear underwater?? A saree?? Cm on.”
Another user wrote, “To those few comments, people wear a swimsuit while swimming !! People can wear what they are comfortable with. It’s their choice.”
One fan even explained, “There is nothing wrong with her wearing those clothes. It is her choice, it is their choice.”
