Balasore: In a shocking incident, a young woman was allegedly beaten up brutally by a group of miscreants in front of the railway station in Odisha’s Balasore.
The incident triggered widespread outrage after a video went viral on social media. The visual shows around 4-5 persons surrounding brutally attacking the woman, with one man kicking her abdomen while others thrashing her.
As per information, the incident took place during night in front of the railway station in Sahadevkhunta area of the district.
The reason behind the brutal attack was yet to be ascertained. While the exact date and time of the incident are not known, the assault took place during night time.
As the video went viral, local authorities reportedly initiated a probe into the incident. Police are examining the visuals to identify the attackers and collect additional information about the incident.
Initially, there was confusion over whether the matter was under the jurisdiction of Sahadevhunta Police Station or the Government Railway Police (GRP) as the assault took place in the vicinity of the railway station.
