Bhubaneswar: Thundershower and lightning may hit at least 18 districts of Odisha on Monday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message issued at 3.05 pm, the IMD sounded a yellow warning for Angul, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghapur, Jajapur, Kandhamal, Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Khurda, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, Puri, and Rayagada districts of Odisha.

Moderate thundershower, lightning and wind speed reaching 40 kmph may occur at a few places over these districts in next 3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on weather conditions and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
