Bhubaneswar: While the cold wave has moved away from Odisha, the state is unlikely to witness any large change in the minimum temperature during the next 6-7 days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Sunday.
In the last 24 hours, G Udayagiri, a hill station in Kandhamal district, was coldest place in the state at 4.2°C, followed by Darigbadi and Phulbani, also in Kandhamal, at 6°C each and Semiliguda in Koraput at 6.1°C.
Koraput at 7°C, recorded a sharp drop of 6.1°C from normal.
The other places, where the mercury hovered around 10°C and below, include Rourkela (8.2°C), Chiplima in Bargarh (8.6°C), Jharsuguda (8.9°C), Bhawanipatna (9°C), Angul (9.6°C), Kirei in Sundargarh (9.8°C), Nabarangpur (10°C), Sambalpur and Keojhar at 10.6°C each.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 13.2°C and 13°C respectively. The minimum temperature in the cities is likely to hover around 12-13°C during the next five days, it added.
