BSE Cancels Annual HSC English Exam In Three Centres
Cuttack: Acting on the reports of rampant malpractice in three centres in Odisha in the ongoing annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Tuesday cancelled the English examination in these three centres.
Briefing mediapersons here in the afternoon, BSE president Dr Jahan Ara Begum said the Board has cancelled the English examination in Gunushar Government High School, Balangir, Panchayati Raj High School, Palasapitha in Dhenkanal district and Krupasindhu Nodal High School, Gopinathpur in Cuttack district.
“The Board will take a decision for evaluation of the English papers of these three centres after a meeting. The Examination Committee of the Board will take a decision in this regard after a meeting within a week,” she added.
The BSE president further made it clear that there would be tight security place in these three centres for the remaining examinations. “The District Education Officer (DEO) will request the Superintendent of Police of the concerned district to deploy adequate police force,” she pointed out.
