Mumbai: Speculation surrounding Salman Khan’s appearance on ‘Koffee With Karan 9’ has finally come to an end, with Karan Johar unveiling a new promo confirming the superstar as the first guest of the upcoming season of the popular celebrity chat show.
The ninth season is set to premiere on October 14 and is expected to mark the end of the show’s run, which began in 2004.
Salman will kick off the new season, as revealed in the latest promo shared by Karan.
In the promo, Salman confirms his appearance, telling Karan, “Toh main aa raha hu karne ke liye Koffee With Karan. (So, I’m going to be on Koffee With Karan).”
Karan then invites viewers to tune in for the season premiere, announcing that the upcoming edition will be the show’s last.
“Catch us on the season opener of Koffee With Karan on October 14. This is the last season. So ye kahi bhi jaa sakta hai right? (So this can go anywhere, right?)” KJo asks Salman.
The filmmaker’s remark hints at the candid and unpredictable conversations viewers can expect from the season opener.
Salman, meanwhile, responds with his trademark cheekiness, adding a humorous twist to their exchange.
“Jaa hi sakta hai. Ye to gaya hai (Of course it can. It has already gone),” the actor quips, offering a glimpse of the playful banter between the two.
Sharing the promo, Karan wrote, “One last time…a koffee with the one & only bhaii. Koffee with Karan Season 9, streaming 14th October onwards on The Peacock Hub On JioHotstar.”
Salman has appeared on the Koffee With Karan couch twice before.
He made his debut in Season 4, when his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, joined him midway through the episode.
He later returned in Season 5 alongside his brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan.
With Salman headlining the season opener and Karan confirming the show’s final edition, the upcoming season marks a significant moment for the long-running celebrity chat show.
