Cuttack: A young physiotherapist was found dead under mysterious circumstances near his rented house in Olatpur area of Odisha’s Cuttack district on Thursday.
The body of the man, as Ruhan Kakati from Assam, was spotted in the morning by local residents, who immediately informed the police.
A police team visited the spot after receiving information and launched an investigation. The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
As per information, Ruhan had come to Olatpur around four years ago to do internship at Swami Vivekanand National Institute for Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR) after completing a physiotherapy course at an educational institution in Assam.
He continued to stay in a rented accommodation in a house at Olatpur after completing his internship and practised physiotherapy.
After a recent visit to Assam, he had returned just a day before the incident. A friend from Assam reportedly accompanied him when he came back. Police are questioning the friend who was staying with him.
Police said all possible angles are being examined as part of the investigation. While the body has been sent for postmortem, efforts are on to contact the family of the deceased.
