Bhawanipatna (Odisha): A mild earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale was felt in several places in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Wednesday evening.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremor was recorded at 7.42 pm. The epicentre of the quake was located at a latitude of 19.729 degrees North and longitude of 82.599 degrees East.

The earthquake hit at a depth of 24 kilometres beneath the Earth’s surface.
The tremor was felt for a few seconds in Dharmagada, Junagarh, Koksara, Thuamul Rampur and Bhawanipatna blocks of the district.
There was no immediate report of casualties or damage to property from the affected areas.
