Mumbai: Akanksha Chamola has opened up about embracing a fresh start following her divorce announcement with Gaurav Khanna.
Speaking candidly about the new phase of her life in the second episode of ‘Lock Upp season 2’, Akanksha said she is in no rush to make major decisions and simply wants to enjoy her freedom.
When Shreya asked Akanksha if she is looking for love after divorce, the latter said not at the moment.
“I don’t want to fall in love so soon I want to take my time. I got married really young, at 24. Maine literally utna kuch explore or enjoy kiya nahi he (I have not explored and enjoyed life so much) and now after 10 years of being in a good relation I have my free time to explore so I don’t want to get into anything else,” she added.
Earlier, during the premiere of Lock Upp season 2, Akanksha had said, “Me and Gaurav are getting a divorce. We have been living separately for the last one year and it’s not been public.”
“Things are not bad between me and Gaurav. We still talk to each other. We don’t think we are compatible as partners because we both see a very different future. And, unfortunately, it’s not with each other.”
Gaurav has not commented on the matter yet.
Gaurav and Akanksha got married in 2016 after dating for a while.
Gaurav is currently participating in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Khatron ke Khiladi 15’.
On the work front, Akanksha has featured in popular sitcoms such as ‘Santoshi Maa’, ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’ and ‘Crime Patrol’.
