Mysuru: A 45-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide at her Mysuru residence after accusing her workplace supervisor of subjecting her to mental harassment. The deceased, identified as Nageshwari, reportedly left behind a note detailing the alleged mistreatment she faced at work.

Nageshwari had been employed at a supermarket for several years. In the note recovered from the house, she allegedly named her recently appointed supervisor, Dolly, and accused her of repeatedly harassing her mentally.

She reportedly claimed that she was not allowed weekly days off and was often compelled to accept blame for errors that were not even hers to begin with. Nageshwari also alleged that she was suddenly removed from her job after taking two to three days’ leave because of illness, as reported by India Today.

According to the note, the alleged treatment at the workplace left her severely distressed and prompted her to take the drastic step.

Her husband, Ashok, said she was found lying motionless on the floor of their house on Friday. He was away at the time and reportedly became worried after she failed to answer several phone calls made during the afternoon.

Ashok then rushed home and found her in an unresponsive condition. He immediately took her to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.

The police are examining the allegations made in the note and are investigating the circumstances leading to Nageshwari’s death.
