Bhubaneswar: The capital city and Puri are likely to experience thunder and lightning along with moderate rain over the next three hours, till after 10 pm.
As per the latest update of the Met department, a ‘severe’ alert has been issued with a ‘very likely’ chance of moderate rain, thunder and lightning at a few places in Gajapati, Ganjam, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar) and Puri in the next three hours.

In an earlier alert issued two hours ago, moderate rain along with thunderstorm and lightning were forecast at many places in Khordha, Nayagada, Rayagada and Puri districts till around 9 pm.
