Kataka: A major fire broke out at a dairy factory located under Jagatpur Industrial area in Odisha’s Kataka district on Thursday.
According to preliminary reports, the fire erupted inside the plant in the morning, causing extensive damage to property. There was no report of injury to anyone.
After receiving information, fire service teams from Choudwar, Chauliaganj and Salipur rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. Due to heavy smoke inside the godown, the robotics machine of the fire service department could not enter the premises.
While the blaze was suspected to have been caused due to an electric short circuit, the exact reason of the fire will be ascertained after investigation.
A team from Jagatpur Police Station also visited the spot and has started a preliminary investigation.
