Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunder and lightning is likely to lash at least seven districts of Odisha on Thursday evening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in nowcast warnings.
State capital Bhubaneswar and Kataka city are also likely to be affected by rain, thunder and lightning in the evening.
In a message issued at 4.20 pm, the IMD sounded yellow warning for Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Kataka (including Kataka city), Puri and Jagatsinghpur districts for the next three hours.
In another message, the weather agency also issued yellow warning for Mayurbhanj, Nuapada and Gajapati districts during the period.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
