New Delhi: Press Information Bureau (PIB) has flagged a fake gazette circulating on social media that claims the Central government has declared every Saturday a public holiday for all public sector banks, including SBI.
The notification was purportedly issued by the Union Finance Ministry’s Department of Financial Services.

“The document being circulated is fake. No such notification has been issued by @FinMinIndia declaring every Saturday as public holiday for public sector banks,” PIB Fact Check said in a release issued on Monday evening.
The release also advised citizens to flag suspicious content related to the Central government to PIB Fact Check.
