Mumbai: Vikrant Massey has revealed that he would love to portray cricket legend Rahul Dravid on screen, naming the former India captain as one of his dream biopic subjects.
Sharing the characters he hopes to bring to life, Massey said, “I think I would love to play a sportsman. I would love to play Rahul Dravid. I would also love to play a musician who can sing, who can play an instrument.”
Opening up about his decision to venture into production with Musafir Cafe, Massey said, “I was looking for scripts to produce, not necessarily act in. I wanted to go beyond acting responsibilities, just get involved in the entire creative process of developing a script.”
Explaining his confidence in the project, he added, “I knew we had a very good show on our hands even before we started filming, because of the depth of Sharanya’s writing. I think we complemented each other as creative artists; both of us very strongly feel that less is more.”
Given Massey’s ability to portray real-life personalities with authenticity, a biopic on Dravid could be an exciting prospect for audiences.
Meanwhile, Massey is set to portray spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in the upcoming biopic ‘White’.
Produced by Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Pictures, Mahaveer Jain Films and Peacecraft Pictures, the film will explore the spiritual leader’s teachings on peace and global harmony, humanitarian work and conflict-resolution efforts. The release date has not yet been announced.
