Rourkela: A second-year student of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) was found dead under mysterious circumstances outside his hostel room on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as S Murid Aslam of Khurda.

According to sources, some students of N Swaminathan Hostel No-5 found the body of Murid lying on the varandah of his room and immediately informed the hostel superintendent.
On being informed, police rushed to the spot and seized the body.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death (UD) and begun investigation into the incident.
