Rourkela: A 19-year-old fell off the roof of a two-storey building in Sector 6 here while filming a TikTok video and sustained critical injuries on October 15.
The boy, identified as Anil Gochyat, was admitted to Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) for treatment.

His addiction to the social media platform for creating and sharing customised music videos saw him posting another video while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The craze for this app developed by the Beijing-based firm ByteDance has become a cause of concern for parents.
The Madras High Court had ordered for a ban on this app on April 17, which was lifted after six days with the condition that the platform should not be used to host obscene videos.
