Mumbai: Aamir Khan’s eldest son Junaid Khan will finally make his Bollywood debut in Neeraj Pandey’s romantic thriller.
According to a report in The Indian Express, Junaid’s debut film is a remake of Malayalam movie ‘Ishq’. Helmed by Anuraj Manohar, the film also stars Shane Nigam and Ann Sheetal in key roles.
Junaid, who did two years of training and theatre in American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, made his theatre debut with the adaptation of ‘Mother Courage and Her Children’, helmed by Quasar Thakore Padamsee.
The star kid also worked in sister Ira Khan’s directorial debut ‘Euripides’ Medea’ and was an assistant director in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘PK’.
Earlier, Aamir, on being asked about Junaid’s Bollywood debut, had said: “We are looking for Junaid. I’ve seen his work and I’m quite happy with it… When we get the right kind of story. I believe in screen tests, so he has to pass the test. If he does a good test, he’ll be in the film. If not, he won’t.”
